Default How to unsert Picture

I wanted to post a photo that I took of my niece, but when I tried it said that my image size was too big. I'm not totally sure on how to downsize my image file so that I can attach it to my post!! Can anyone help?

I'm usually pretty good with the computer, but this time not so much...

Do you have any image editing software?

Take a look at whichever one you have and you'll likely find a resize feature. If you resize your image to 800x600, you'll probably be just fine. If you still can't figure out how to resize an image with your software, ask for a specific step by step method that goes beyond what you can't understand in your "help" feature of the software.

Even after resizing, the file may be too large.
Most image editing software programs will have an option to "save for web".
That will strip it down low enough in size so that it should fit.
This of course is after you have resized it.

If you're resizing, make sure you work on a COPY of the original file or you'll lose the larger resolution that you may want later.
