I've already found you elsewhere, including your Photobucket album. Two years ago you were a photo machine technician, according to your profile on another forum site. I'm supposed to assign a level of credibility to someone with no gallery, no resume, little online presence, minimal experience with digital (your first appears to be the Hasselblad that you picked up about a year or so ago), 214 posts on a forum for a two year membership, and no real name?

EDIT: whoops, forgot to add the smilies
She's got a Hassey! Whoa.

What you saw was criticism to facts. Go back and read it. Then you brought up the "I know better" without any credentials. Yet another Internet expert with no face, no background, and we're supposed to take it as gospel? That's when the challenge came.

But you couldn't deal with that so, instead, I get the emotional retort: "Why are you so angry?" I'm not. Not in the least. What I'm tired of is Internet experts coming along and expecting full respect for something they cannot prove or are even willing to show.

Search for me on the 'net and you'll find me. I don't hide behind anonymity and demand respect for credentials I cannot supply. You'll find my resume, my personal photo site, my activities on other forums (including a pilot site) and more. I am who I am.

If I really wanted to call you out, I could have a full bio posted here in a day or so. Not my style, though, especially since I charge clients big bucks for that kind of background work.

You cannot seem to deal with someone questioning you. That's your problem, not mine. It's obvious from your statements.

The sad thing is that, instead of debating on the points I mentioned, you chose to get offended that you were even questioned. You failed to provide any relevant facts or experience to the debate. And somehow I'm the bad guy for it.

Brian, I could debate with you all day, problem is you have to have the last word. Not just on this but everything. So go ahead, have the last word. I really don't care. And if you want to call me out and post a bio go right ahead but be careful, this is the internet after all and you really don't know who you are dealing with. Case in point, if you had read a little more you would know that my husband is a police officer. I never called you a bad guy, I asked why the hostility.

Have your last word, Brian, we are all waiting with baited breath.

I know, which is why I didn't post more. I work with quite a few of them on the side. EDIT: and the reason I didn't post more isn't due to fear. Tossing that around as a threat isn't considered kosher in the LEO community. It is, however, considered very bad form to "out" an officer's family for fear of retribution while he's trying to do his job. For that, he has my respect.

What I find ironic is that you keep saying I have to have the last word...yet you keep posting.

Yes. I've worked with some rural agencies and departments for Internet and child porn cases. Nasty crap. Sadly, they wouldn't let me just shoot him when I started capturing the traffic.

Most of the folks, I went to High School with are now in some form of Law Enforcement, either "inside" or outside. Heck, I am contemplating joining the CHP, especially, since I only have until my next birthday to qualifiy! LOL

I've been bored with IT and considered joining the Phoenix PD. I'm still not totally decided on it yet. I figured I'm too out of shape to pass the physical requirements right now anyway so I'm back in the gym while I decide. I've got some friends there, both active and retired, and I've been told I'd be very welcome.

Cool...Hey BTW, correction to my def, LEO = Law Enforcement Officer. LOL

Wow, what a way to clear a room, someone mentions "cop" and no one says a word. I think many here understand that this thread will not convince anyone to raise or lower their respective prices. If you believe in Capitalism, let's let the market decide. As JFranco has stated, it really does seem some people here are getting a bit nervous and is using the Part-time pro (meaning, we charge money) photog as a economic scapegoat. Let's be somewhat careful in this narrow minded, generalization and discriminatory sense of scapegoating. I guess it is only human to hate or blame that is what is different from us, but it is also human to try to rise above the mistakes (or at least try) we have done in the past.

Doh. Can't tell I'm skipping words now, can you?

Nah. Everyone is afraid to post in case they get labeled with the "last word" thing.

Regardless of its foundations, the thread was educational. And if I learned something, that's usually enough for me to be satisfied with it.

Absolutely, as many "third party" posters have pointed out, if you read the thread in its entirety, post by post, there are definitely things you can take and use!
