I just got my new camera about 1hr ago. I took like 200 random pics just playing with the settings and everything and the way I take photos my nose touches the screen, and I use some special lotion for my face because I have really bad dry skin. Well there were streaks on the screen, so I said no big deal I got this new cleaning kit, So I tried cleaning it with the cloth and spray that comes with the cleaning kit and it left steaks
. So I grabbed an old camera cleaning cloth and some windex and there are still streaks!![]() My qustion is how do I get rid of them so I can go ahead and just slap on the screen protector and not deal with this any more? __________________

You might have to use cheese clothe to absorb the oil from the lotion. Not trying to be funny. There is sucha clothe.

Does the Sony use a matte LCD screen? That's bad if so. My glossy Canon screen(s) get my face oils all the time and I just wipe it off with a sleeve or something.
If you can find an eyepiece extender, that helps reduce it, btw. |

ICK...Windex Steer clear (no pun intended) of amonia and buytl cleaners. Check at walmart in your area for a product named Sprayway class cleaner. It leaves no residue and evaporates quickly it is alcohol based and will zip right though oils, bodily meneral or petroleum. I trust it on my computer monitors and my camera lenses and displays. One more word on cleaning aids: microfiber

I have a Sony A700 and I clean my screen with an ordinary micro-fiber cloth - never had any problems with streaks.
