Happy New Year to all.
I'd like to freshen up my website for 08 and was thinking of using a template. Have any of you ever gone this route? One of the outfits that I was considering is: Professional Photography Web Templates. Unique Photography Flash Templates Would love to have a trial version available to see how the administration and updating of text and photos works but one is not available according to their support staff email. Any of you used something similar? Recommendations and a sample would be appreciated. Thanks Bill __________________

Ther are some very basic Free templates out there if you look hard enough that you could play with before you buy.
Whatever you choose, just be sure you have the software needed to edit the template you choose. Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Frontpage... that sort of thing. Most templates will tell you what you'll need. And if you work quick enough, you could do it with the 30 day trial programs if you didn't already have them and didn't want to purchase them. -Jeff |

mine is from Flash Website Templates, web hosting and domain registration by WINKLET WEB DESIGN, portfolio 23. I do like the rotating front images that are in the flash templates. take a look if you want.
Also they are reasonable and easy to edit. You don't have to have anyone do it for you. Pros: easy, and pay once, update as often as you like. cons: not easily identified by robots, unless you have a splash page. And supposedly, the more clicks it takes to get into the meat and potatoes of your site, the more people are apt to leave the site, and look elsewhere. |

I used a free template from flash village. They are free for business or personal use. It took me about 20 hours, working when I had time, to get it up and running. I never used flash before and still have alot to learn, but I don't think it's bad for a first try. You can check it out if you like http://www.griffin-studios.com the non flash version I have up is generic and not complete, but some people thought it was easy to use so I left it up with the flash version.

Thanks all, I decided to give the CMS Flash version a shot. Thomas portfolio CMS flash template I like the flow of this one in particular. We'll see how difficult it is to customize myself - may have to get one of my kids to do it for me...
