A suggestion, I'm being nice here, that took me aback was the statement that photographs posted in forums were not copyrighted. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The actual truth is, and I will go into this deeper as it strikes to the heart of your photos, is that you have the rights to your photographs; no matter which medium, from being stolen and used by others. Suffice it to say that photos and any intellectual property that you have created out of your own mind is yours. You are the owners of what you have created. No one else. This is US law and International law. This forum and any other medium is protected by these laws. You have rights to publish and have your photos sheltered from theft. Forums are a medium and are protected. You also have recourse should your intellectual properties be stolen and you find out. These are strong laws. I will tell you more here when time permits. Be Aware that there are some who think that all is fair game. They are wrong and your rights to your property are substantiated from the first thought to the final product by law. There are some precursors that you can do to make it less expensive. Back in a few days with links to help. __________________

No one with any authority mentioned anything of the like.
This is the link to the US Copyright Office: U.S. Copyright Office. If you are in a different country, then your country's laws are in effect. If you are worried about copyright infringement, do not upload images. As far as the "Please, Ask Permission Before Downloading For Any Reason" portion of your signature, you are aware that when I go to a thread where your picture is posted, I have already downloaded the image file, rendering that portion of your signature superfluous, incorrect, and unnecessary. It's technical fact of the way the World Wide Web works, and is part of what is known as "fair use" and in no way violates any copyright law. Adding, "Please do not edit and repost my images" is fairly standard practice here. I know I do not appreciate others' edits, interpretations, reworks, etc. without specific permission posted in that thread. And it is common courtesy to aske before proceeding with such actions. As Always, if you need help, seek a mod. There is a red triangle with a ! below each profile next to each post. Its there for you, use it when you feel necessary. I am not a lawyer, just a site janitor, so if you have any further questions, I suggest you seek legal counsel. __________________
