Shutter Replacement...??
We are all aware that in some point of time we have to fix-replace our camera shutters..
Has any of you ever done this? How much did it cost you? I am using a relatively new 20D but im just wondering how much do I have to spend latter on, to replace its shutter.. __________________

I've had the shutter replaced on two cameras. A D60 last year (June 2004) cost $200. And my 1DmkII is in the shop right now, but Canon is covering this one under warranty. Not sure what the count was on the D60. It just stopped working one day. Canon didn't send an explanation of what was wrong, just that they replaced the shutter. It was out for around 3 weeks (maybe longer).
The 1DmkII had one of the shutter curtains fall off in the middle of a shoot. They estimate that it should be done early next week.  John |

I wore out the shutter in my D30 and it cost 185.00 to replace and took 2 weeks. The only reason it took that long is because of the time to e-mail back and forth with the quote and me to e-mail back a credit card number. The weekend slowed it down.
