That didn't happen in the Lighting Forum, as far as I know. Did they get their question answered at Photo Camel?

I did once wander into Photo.net's "Philosophy of Photography" Forum and that was pretty scary!

This is the Internet and sometimes you just have to put your big boy pants on.

Haha. You're right.

But when you're new and looking to find out as much as you can about the art, the last thing you need is to wade through some know-it-all's diatribe about, well, how stupid you are for not knowing how to use the Search function.

lol

Ha ha, so true. A classic.

Next in line is to link to a "recent" thread (like from two years ago).

Yeah, I liked the photos on photo.net, but I felt the same thing. You ask a question and at times were made to feel like a moron. So I would just rate photos I liked and never went back to their forums.

I did create a potn account and posted in the event section and my post got about 20 views and no responses and has been buried already. So that is a fine hello. Guess I could just give up on getting comments on those types of photos.

Nikon Cafe or Nikonians?

I actually don't read either of them. IIRC, I think you have to register just to see Nikon Cafe threads now, and Nikonians did away with their free viewing. I can't recall if Nikon Cafe costs money or not,

Yeah. Nikonians. I paid for one year and watched as activity went out the window.
