I'll be going to a dance for a bunch of older handicap children with a hollywood theme.
Last year was a western theme, we had a few stuffed ponies and cowboy hats with bandana's. We will setup a photo booth and shoot a few portraits (single and group) and I would love your guys input on backdrops and props. So far I thought of a black sheet with white 4"-6" stars painted on it, maybe a little glitter (but I know glitter will reflect the flash), or White with Red stars. This is for fun, not profit, so I want to keep cost low. I plan to wear a tuxedo t shirt. So far I have only come up with a black/white top hat, black/white cane, maybe a white/pink/red small umbrella, but that's where I'm at a loss, I would like a few more inexpensive items that might be fun for them to add to their outfits. Just thought of one more, maybe a microphone... Your thoughts ? __________________

My first thought is a lush, red velvet curtain as the backdrop. The top hat would go with it for sure! Maybe a feather boa for the girls? Don't know if that's truly Hollywood, but I'm sure the guests would have fun with it.

Oh yeah.. lots of beads and old lady hats for the girls... can also go with big glasses and bling stuff - could go with cheap plastic gold beads and necklasses.. like what the rappers wear... I think the more 'dress up' stuff you can find at like a dollar store of the good will store the better.

*boink - hits head*
could also go with a 'red carpet' type theme... got anything that could be a red carpet? School or office may have some red mats they put out on rainy days you could borrow... |

I agree with the red carpet idea, and maybe you could find some velvet ropes to create a real red carpet experience. Also, if you could get some other photogs, or just volunteers with cameras to pose as paparazzi on either side of the red carpet so they get the full experience of walking the red carpet at a Hollywood premier

You could also create a white backdrop with logos from whatever. It's called a step and repeat. You see them all the time at red carpet events with all the sponsors names "repeated" all over it. I'm sure Kinkos or some printing place could help you out. Maybe some printer could donate it if it's for charity.

I tried to pick my favorite 10 to share with you guys, but ended up with 11 and there were so many more I feel bad about not posting them all. A few I'll post nicknames for.
One of many ladies of James Bond "Note golden gun" Dancing Shoes The show must go on Strike a pose Frolics Movie Stars More Bond Ladies Band members Band members II One lucky guy! The last picture was the third group shot with all the ladies. Each one had more and more ladies join the picture, until I was half way across the room standing on a ladder. The last one was the only "group shot" like this with any guys and all the ladies. A little info about the group can be found The Fuse Foundation. These guys really had a good time and no one was camera shy.... ![]() __________________
