Default Why I chose a professional

I apologize for my absence here the past few months. Last fall I got involved on a large DIY patio project in my back yard, where our daughter's wedding reception was to be held on June 30. Then I got involved in wedding plans and until the past couple weeks have not had a life of my own. Did I mention my daughter and now son-in-law also were building a new house during this time, and his father and I were doing a lot of work on that too.

Anyway, the point of my post here today is to pay tribute to those of you involved in wedding photography. I would NEVER EVER attempt that myself ..... no way .... no how. Our daughter pretty much picked the photographer and we were more than pleased with his work, (actually he and his wife). We were overwhelmed with the photos. I think those that impressed me most were the photos that I personally would never have thought to take. He seemed to pick up on every little detail, and the collection accurately covered the event from start to finish.

It's really difficult to express how happy everyone was with his work. We feel we got much more than we planned on. So, to you wedding photographer guys (and ladies), we thank you for your vison, your hard work, and your preservation of memories of those very special days.

I'll post a few of my favorites. (Yes, I have a print release and a copy of it is also posted online with the photos).

Big up Mizzou! Great to hear the plus side of the Biz. And big up to most wedding photographers. That is a tough side of photography.

What I find more "applaud-worthy" than the nice shots, was the courtesy and respect that Mizzou displayed by getting permission to post pics on the web. Wow, I wish more did people did that.

Really great wedding pictures. I liked the idea of bride slippers. So simple but the idea is really inspiring Thanks. Nice pictures!

These are outstanding photographs. Good story. In this day and age when everyone with an iPhone can fancy herself a photographer, professionals matter.

Great photos.

And I like that Nova. It's caged so there must be a few "extra" horses under that hood.

Yes, the Nova is quite a bit more than "stock". That's the "play car". The real muscle car he has comes complete with 2000 turbocharged HP and parachute.
