Default Jpeg or RAW?

Hi All.
I`m going to Paris for a long weekend in a few weeks.
I`m planing of taking my photo-gear with my new Eye-Fi card.
The Eye-Fi card only uploads Jpeg images (not RAW) and the size is 8GB (compare to my 32GB non Eye-Fi card).

Should i shoot in Jpeg (so i will be getting an online backup including geotagging)
or should i shoot in RAW and use the 32GB?
a 3rd option is to shoot in RAW+Jpeg.

What do you think?

This topic has been previously beaten to death. I personally shoot jpeg as I have no good reason to shoot raw. Its all about what you want to do with your photos.

A lot of interesting info out there, your search function will turn up hundreds of more opinions. Let Google be you friend.

Personally I would want to come back with RAW files to give me the most data possible to work with when I started processing. Way back when I tossed a lot of images because my skills couldn't salvage them with only jpegs as a base. Not sure my skills have progressed that far as yet so I wouldn't take any chances.
That's just my $.02 for what little it's worth.

shoot Raw. if not confident shoot raw+jepg. post processing skills keeps on
improving . your post processing skills will be far better after one or two years.
it will be then when you will wish you had shot RAW.

For important moments, such as trips to the other side of the world or vacations, I would shoot RAW... but then again, I shoot NOTHING but 14-bit RAW anyway.

The last thing I would ever want to see is a special moment or photo screwed up because I shot in JPG and lost 75% of the data in any given photo.

My battle cry is "Go RAW or go home! " LOL!

Buy two more 32GB cards and use raw. Also, I doubt that you'll find many hotspots in Paris which will give you satisfactory results for big data transfers. But then, things might have change since the last time I was there.

Lots of places to "hook in" if needed.
The thing is... be prepared to pay for it.

My solution is to bring a laptop and two small 500gb external hard drive and make 3 copies of everything that is important to me.
