We were running PSE 3.0 in our high school lab, and I'm pretty sure it had actions available, but I could be wrong.

OK, the easy way: from PSE3.0 (my PSE4.0 alas is in Dutch ):

Open in Editor mode, go to: Help, Tutorials, pick 'Index' tab, choose letter B, search for 'Batch Processing', in 'Batch Processing' click 'Proces multiple files dialogue box options'

then you can read what PSE4.0 can do for you: PSE3.0 talks about setting a

'Quick Fix': specifies automatic tonal and colour correction and sharpening.

happy now?

Regards!

Michael - create a PNG of your logo the same dimension as your target image, take your paintbrush to 1 pix and 0 opacity and put a dot in the opposite corner of your logo, Copy the image and open a target image, then record a "paste layer, flatten, Save As" action. You'll need to standardize somewhat, as this method will only put your logo in the proper place for images that are the same dimension as your logo image. You'll also need to create a logo image for both portrait and landscape orientations.

You can also batch add your copyright info entries into the File Info, if that's all you want.

Thanks Jon! I'll give that a try when I get a chance; yes, I'm talking about putting the logo brush onto each image. I already standardize what I display on the web for consistency in viewing my stuff.

What about getting your signature onto images? Do you scan your real sig, make the negative space transparentand then scale it for different images?

Well, since I'm not too keen on having my signature out and about throughout the world, I don't do that.

But yes, that's exactly how you could do that, or you could simply sign your name via the paintbrush or pen tool with your Wacom tablet.

Thanks Jon.
I'm not thinking of it for portraiture, but for non-people stuff. It's not actually my legal signature I want to put on them, but my artist's sig. That wouldn't be a problem, would it?

It shouldn't be...But then, an easier and cleaner way might be to visit www.dafont.com/en and find a handwriting font that you like, generate your logo PNG, and apply it in the manner above...If you're going to go that route, it's generally good form to contact the font authors and tell them what you intend to do, and make sure it's cool with them (because all of the fonts on that site are free and implied or assumed for non-commercial use).

About PSE batch processing, it works but it oversharpen a lot and there doesn't seem to be a way to set the sharpening/USM parameters.

Anybody know how to control USM in batch processing.

Thanks

aam1234,

Try Enhance/Adjust Smartfix to first adjust the Smartfix for one file to your needs/wants, then batch process the rest of the files with that setting.

Hope this helps, *my* €0.02...
