It's useful to know the range of resolutions being used when viewing this site, both for design purposes and just to see if the average enthusiast/pro photographer is any different than the general populous in these things. Note that the question is 'what resolution you use to view the site', not what resolution you may use when doing photo editing. I've listed the general resolutions that should cover most bases. Apologies if your screen resolution is not included, but in that case it would be useful to choose the resolution that is nearest to yours
.My own viewing preferences are a bit varied - mostly full screen at 1280x1024, and occasionally on my other computer at 1600x1200. __________________

At home it's 1280x1024. At work, it can vary quite a bit, since I have 3 21" monitors and a laptop. It depends on whether real estate space or text size is a priority for the task. At home, it's just what I set it at, and it feels comfortable.

. Also, I'm interested if anyone runs their web browser at maximum size or whether they keep it relatively small. |

Personally, I run my browser at approx 1024x786 so I have some real estate left for other things. |

In my case, I almost always run my browser at the full screen size, or very near it. Of course, at 1024 x 768, I don't have any pixels to spare on other tasks. I have also been known to hit the F11 key to get more space for viewing pictures.

1920x1200, but never run the browser full size. I normally take up about 2/3 of the screen with a browser window and also have my favorites open on the left side of the browser.
BTW, I hate it when a website automatcially resizes my browser window and when I run into a site like that, they dont get a second chance and I leave immediately. |
