Buying a new Canon 30D my question is about pricing

I have been price shopping on line for a Canon 30D,my question is Why can a company like B&H who i deal with a lot charge $ 1,249.95 for a 30D body only and a company like Royal Camera.com charge only $679.00 for a 30D body only! Whats the Deal here! other places like Best Price Camera.com 30D $999.00,Price Scan.com anywere from $1,060 to $1,600 for a 30D body only, Really whats the deal! can anyone tell me,here is a good one Canon 5D-B&H $2,899.95,Royal Camera $1,709.00.

Royal Camera, Best Price Camera, etc. aren't places you want to shop.* Run them under Reseller Ratings, and read the reviews.* My dad got no end of hell dealing with Royal Camera once... that $679 will be literally body only, without any of the manufacturer-included accessories you get by buying from a legit dealer.

Just buy from BH or Adorama. You can't gop wrong with them.

To be fair, even B&H or Adorama can foul up once in a while, but they definitely don't make a habit of it and will generally give you less hassle in straightening things out. There are also a fair number of good outfits besides these two, but B&H is usually the first place I look.

Sure Royal Camera and the likes will take your order and your money. Then you will get a call telling you blah blah blah you need to add this accessory or that accessory. All of which are extremely overpriced. They will use high pressure tactics and some have even been said to get down right mean about it. If you refuse, I've heard of countless delays and even them just cancelling your order.

Folks, I just recently made my 1st purchase from B&H. While I have a wish list a mile long on their site, reality won't let me get everything on there. I don't $1000000000000 dollars. LOL
Everything from start to finish was as smooth as glass. Communication was excellent. I knew where my order was at in the process every minute. Even though they had a power failure Friday right after I placed my order, I was still notified about it and my shipment went out on Monday like nothing had happened. Well packaged, fast shipping, friendly service, fair pricing, excellent return policy and outstanding reputation. What else could you ask for? Well free gifts, but hey.
