OK! After an extended period, we are now in VOTING mode. Yuppee
![]() Please select up to THREE candidates from the list below. The voting period will be 14 days after which the winner will be announced. Best of luck, and thanks for all the great entries. ================================================== =============================== This next challenge is "From a Different Point of View" ******************** Submissions for this one will run through June 20th ********************************** The idea is that we all see things from the usual standing position, sitting position, walking around, etc. How interesting things become when you get up on a ladder and look around or lay down in the grass and look around.... or take a look at things from a different point of view. For this contest. Let's try to take photos and images from that different point of view and get creative with taking shots from positions or angles that are different or unusual and see how creative and fun things get. I'll post the first one. I was going to post a different shot at first, but found this one while looking through my files and I had a blast catching this one. This especially since the Alligators have been in the news so much lately and yesterday an 11 footer was pulled from a residential canal in Miami. I shot this picture while standing on a walking path overpass over the canal with the Sigma 50-500 lens at 500mm. I think he was eyeballing me and wanted to invite me over for lunch. This was about an 8-9 ft. alligator. Lesson to learn? Never dive into fresh water in Florida unless you know, for sure, what's in there. Rules: one entry per person. Embed your pic in this thread. Try to keep the dimensions of the pic no larger than 650 pixels wide by 700 long or so. The winner can choose a gift of 20 dollars or less from the PhotoCamel store. __________________

Taken from under and very close to the basket and inflator of a hot air balloon at a Friday glow during a festival last fall. I used a D1x and Sigma EX 24-60/2.8 at about 24mm.

I was actually attracted to the color and shape of the sky in the first place. I then mounted my polarizing filter and thought that a combination of the sky and that beautiful palm tree will be owesome..
For you to judge... |

I don't usually use kid pictures for posts like this, but I just loved the angle and expression of my daughter in this shot. I stood on our dining room table and shot down with my 85mm 1.2 to get this interesting shot, I hope you enjoy.
