Just wondering how often the contests are posted up. Is it a monthly thing or every two months. How does that work?

It's sporadic, depending upon how much free time the moderators have.

Keep in mind that there are ongoing and impromptu contests started in specific boards, such as

Oh okay thanks I am pretty new here and still learning the ropes. I have participated in the guess the close up! Just wasn't sure how often the themed contests went on!!!!! Thank you appreciate it
