Just wondering......How is the contest judged? This is my first time on photocamel and could'nt find how this is done. I see where it says one man vote but what does that mean? Should I be voting somewhere?

The contest is judged by the members of the Camel... exactly what you were thinking. Your vote counts toward the final outcome. Voting starts on January 6th for the current contest. Welcome to the forum!

I'm new to the site and would like to enter the latest contest, but don't know how to upload to the correct contest. Thanks in advance for your help Janis

To enter a contest first select the contest gallery. Above the display of gallery photos select upload. By default the software here will assume that it is to the gallery that you are in, the contest gallery. Uplaoding a photo to the contest gallery enters you into that contest. Some contests limit the number of photos that you may enter. Some contests have a different way of entry and for those instructions are provided. Some contests first come out with a deadline but often, if not too many entries are received the deadline will be extended. A few contests have prizes for the winners but many do not.
I am just an ordinary member here and what I am relaying to you is just my brief experience here. If you need any help from me let me know and I will see what I can do.

At the moment there are no themed contests running, so you cannot enter.
In a few weeks another contest will start. I'll keep you informed.

Thanks for your quick response. I was actually thinking of the Pet's in Action contest. Is that available now, or is it already closed?

Pets in Action apears to be still open. You should be able to enter at most two photos up until tihe time that they start the voting process. I already have two entries in that contest myself. Aparently there is nothing to win so this is all just for fun.

Looking at the Pets in Action picture, I noticed every picture has the word vote under it, except mine, "Catch me if you can". Did I upload my incorrectly?

You uploaded your photo correctly. Aparently one cannot vote for their own entry. After you vote, the number of votes for each photo will be displayed. You will also be given the option to change your vote if you like. Good Luck!
