Lets have a contest

Hey all,

Someone else suggested a theme of self portraits trying to look like the Camel. How would you all feel about a contest and the forum members will vote for the winner. How it would work is you would post your self portrait in the portait section and include in the subject line "Camel look alike Contest". We could start it in the beginning of August and end it at the end of August then I could gather up all the photos and place them on a web page and post the link and then you would go out and pick which number you wish to vote for and private message me your vote. I will then tally up the votes and announce the winner. I would give all of you a week to vote before announcing the winner. Then the winner could pick the next theme contest.

So what do you all think about this idea?

Well if you can get the glasses to stay up on your a$$ then by all means do it. But be prepared for the ladies to throw tomatoes and other items at you.

I like the idea of a contest, though I'm not going to participate in the camel look alike. Although...come to think of it, if I do a first thing in the morning shot before I've had a chance to tame my hair I look a bit like the ultra fuzzy ones do. Not like our logo guy though. I've never had hair under that much control.

OK , how many points do I get for having a hump on my back and a face like a camel when I picked up 340kg 2 years ago ? I got someone to hold the button down on my Panasonic DMC-LC5 at 4 frames per second . I won't include the pictures of my first attempt at 400kg because that time I failed and I have a series of shots of me shooting out backwards from under the bar ...

Simple lens and a lever to switch from color to black and white. Only 2 apertures so you never have to worry about depth of field.

It would have been more of a victory if there were other contestants . Don't worry , I stopped doing that 2 years ago , after the gym complained when I bent their olympic bar attempting to lift 415 kg . I also decided to stop risking back damage .
What do I get for winning ?
