I have to admit, I first looked at this and wondered "What is this all about?"
After a few minutes, I figured it out. My second question was what are these shiny dress shoes doing on the beach? I looked at it a bit longer and noticed the dress. I finally came to the conclusion that this was a wedding photo. Very unique and well deserved photo of the day. |

LOL! Well I wish the bride had dared to bring out her white satin shoes to the beach, even just to place them in the sand, I think it would have made an even better shot, but it's great to have 20-20 hindsight.

I like this shot a lot because it tells a story. Not many pictures do that, what a pity. A lot of photographers seem to be going for "pretty" or "different," but most forget that the best pictures tell a story.
The missing shoes don't matter. We can imagine where they are. In fact if they were there the shot would be cluttered. Boo. I suppose the bad thing about the shot is that the shoes that are there have not a speck of sand on them. So that makes the shot less believable and detracts from the story the photographer wants to tell. That's not cool. But the best thing about this picture is that so much of what it is about is not visible. Good work. |
