I am using Cinema 4D. Although I have had the program for several years, I recently upgraded it to the latest and greatest version in order to try to get more proficient with it and, hopefully, get into some of the more esoteric aspects of 3D modeling. Now I am having a ball with it, but my lack of artistry is becoming painfully evident.

good work. Was the reflection made in C4D or in photoshop?

There are lots of different projections, i.e., cameras, that are available in these programs and I haven't played with most of them yet.
I will be posting a lot more stuff in the coming weeks Bunny. Your interest and comments are most welcome. |

Hi Jack ... it is a very sophisticated 3D authoring program used for many purposes. It really is not designed for CAD applications, although CAD models are easily and cheaply translated into formats that can be used in these programs. Like other programs of this type, Maya and 3D Studio Max, it is used to make movies and TV commercials. In the engineering realm it is used to generate visualizations of things have not reached prototype stage or to depict things have already been developed in environments like space, underwater, or anywhere it is cheaper to model what is going on than it is to actually do it. Of course the results of such simulations may not be that accurate, but often they are close enough to be worth the effort. Go to youtube and look up C4D and you will quickly see some of the things that folks are doing with this and other such programs.
