A little over a year ago I was given the opportunity to display and sell my work in a cafe in Atlanta, GA. In the history of the cafe they'd never had a sold out show - until mine (a feat I'm extremely proud of as it was my first exhibit). This is the type of work I sold:

Nice - I've seen a few articles about this and have always wanted to try it - would you share your technique?

Of course! All you need is a dark room, a black backdrop, incense for burning, a camera with manual focus ability, and a good light source (off camera flash or desk lamp).
Incense creates a nice thick, well contained smoke so tends to work best, though I've known a few who use cigarettes. And the light source needs to be well directed at the smoke. Once you're all set up, snap away! Feel free to poke the smoke a bit to get it to 'dance'. Once you've got all you want import them into your favourite editing program, clean up the background and add colour. Don't forget to invert the image if you're interested in a white background. Hope that helps! __________________
