Default Lion in our yard, a painting based on a real event

Last night while I was shooting the sky, I heard a movement and a deep growl like roar very near. I was right near the dorr and i went flying inside and slammed the door shut. So much for night shooting outside. I had heard there were mountain lions in the area but I did not want to see one. This one was within 10 feet of me and I was lucky to get inside. This is a painting of our yard with a real lion in it.

Thank you both so much. I use Corel Painter, a software program for painting.

Wow what a scary experience. Not sure I would have had the nerve to grab a shot so close. Thought you lived in SF, must not be in town. I have seen mountain lions on one of the family ranches in the Sierra foothills, but the distance was about 100 yards. They are beautiful animals.
Very nice job with your painting program.
Cheers,
Colby

Colby, I live in SF part time and in Pacifica part time. The mountain lion was in pacifica. I did not shoot HIM. This is another lion. I ran in as quickly as I could when ours roared or whatever you call that deep dreadful noise. I was glad to get the door closed in time. No more night shots for me.
