This lighthouse was built in 1905 and stands at the eastern end of the beaches invaded by Allied troops on D-Day, 6 June 1944. Captured by British forces in the initial assault, it escaped destruction by the Germans. The lighthouse stands beside the lock at the entrance to the Canal de Caen á la Mer, which allows vessels to reach the city of Caen, 14 km (9 mi) to the south.[/QUOTE]

Your work is beautiful and amazing Clare! I love them all but the lighthouse really speaks to me. Its history makes it even more special.

Thank you very much Keith, I really appreciate your comments.

So far I haven't printed much of my work...but, I now have a new printer which I am getting profiled.
Have printed a few off with some test packs of fine art papers and love the results so far.
