Default Feral Cat we call "Sweetie"

This is "Sweetie"...she is the Matriarch of the feral colony behind us.....

She has been around for about 6 years, and actually allows us to pet her......

We call her "Sweetie" because she will claw anyone that gets within range, and has such a dour disposition.....

We used to have a cat named Sweetie, but from the looks of things he never got into the fights she has! Nice shot BTW.

Something tells me this one was through some tough times. She has a very sad look on her face.

When I first saw her some 6 years ago, she was emaciated, had all her "battle scars", and looked nearly starved. We out food and water for her, and within a week she had brought two very young/small kittens to our property (she must have carried each separately over our fence).

Sweetie has become a part of our lives and gets a lot of attention. When she sees or hears our garage door going up she comes trotting.....or she waits until the door starts down and she darts into the garage.

If we don't see her she knocks - by flipping the hinged doorstop up and down like a knocker - and we let her in, walk to the back of the house, open the sliding door, and she waltzes out. If we see her it's the same routine except for the knocking.....

Occasionally she lingers inside for a few minutes and it's rumored that she even gets brushed during her excursions indoors......

Thanks EH!

While she is not really photogenic, her expressive face and eyes make up for a lot.....

She is doing great. This photo was just before we realized she wasn't losing weight to be more alluring and that there was a real problem.
