Good article. It should be a must read for anyone complaining that his new lens won't focus accurately.
This article also nicely explains why you get a certain number of soft focus images no matter how good your technique if you are using your DSLR as a DSLR, not as a point-and-shoot while viewing the LCD. |

I had posted this in the Pentax section, as an aid to helping fellow Pentax owners with AF problems. Many Pentax owners are currently complaining of AF issues. Not sure why it was moved, If I were to refer to a Nikon flash in the Pentax section would that post be moved to the Nikon section as well, makes no sense. The article would be useful to all, however , I posted were I wanted it.

Steve,
Thanks for the moving the thread back to its intended location! In the future, I will edit the subject line to help prevent future moves. Just trying to offer AF reference material to fellow Pentax users. Noticed your from Lebanon,Tn. I was rised in Brentwood,Tn. and currently have a brother living in Lebanon. I've been to the Cedars of Lebanon numerous times. Regards, Mike |

OK Guys .. please Back to topic on AF tips for Pentax Camera's
What i have read here is that once you set A K10d to focus per AF buton anti shake is disabled as well (full information in here: K10D Focus issue resolved (sort of) I personally are used to halfpress and full press of the shutter button thus my advice it to NOT set focus to the AF button unless you clearly want to! __________________
