Pentax K30

There appears to more than a rumor that a new entry level DSLR is coming out. The price 800. Euros.

Key specs

• 16 Megapixel sensor (likely inherited from the K-5)
• Full HD video recording (framerate unknown, likely same as the K-01)
• Weather sealed body
• 3-inch LCD
• Uses AA or rechargeable batteries
• 4FPS shutter (slower than in the K-r, but will we see a bigger buffer to compensate?)
• ISO range: 100-25,600

No top level lcd. You can't get the K5 in blue.

My read on this is that since this new camera now has the same sensor as the K5 there will be a new K5 replacement coming out in the not too distant future with a new higher megapixel sensor and other refinements - of course it will be much more expensive than the 800 Euros they want for the K30.

or they could go this way:
- less megapixel & PIXEL DENSITY
- better antishake
- better high iso performance
- lesser noise
- 2 hdmi slots (input /output)
- dual memory slots 1 for movie only the other for jpeg/raw
- usb 3.0
- more fps
- just por mode's no scene mode's

According to this link the K30 has now been officially announced and is available for $849 (body only) or $899 with 18-55mm kit lens. Reading through the specs this looks like a pretty good mid range camera with same sensor as the K5 and faster focusing than K5 and takes interchangeable focusing screens. This is actually good news as it reaffirms Pentax's commitment to its DSLR line.

Maybe they have too many 16mp CMOS in stock... I just need a full frame body(better noise level) build like mzs.
