Default Off Camera Flash Questions

I have a Lumix FZ200 and Yongnuo YN622C flash trigger. I use the Yongnuo YN 560 IV flash In-Camera on the FZ200, manual mode. I want to use it off camera, not via optical slave but via flash trigger. I want to use the 622C but it will slide to the shoe midway only. Any suggestion how I can adapt the 622C, I do not want to buy another flash trigger if I can avoid it.

I have the FZ200 but do not use an external flash.
I try to avoid using pop up flash for close subjects ie. 3-5 ft as the lens hood creates a shadow.

If it will at least slide midway, it does sound like it is made to fit. Is it possible there is any kind of spring-loaded pin on the hot shoe, or flash, that isn't retracting enough to allow full access?

Been tinkering with this idea and tried it. I removed the plate in the hot shoe and wiggle the trigger in slowly, it's a very tight fit. I can now fire the my other flash off this camera. Removing the trigger is not as bad, angle it up as it is coming out.
I am not affiliated with these triggers and flash!
