Default Shift Lens Question

I want to get a tilt & shift lens and came across this. It is Russian made.

What are your opinions?

What do think the quality of the glass and the clarity of the optics would be?

I wonder if it is a good lens, or lipstick on a pig??

LOL Lipstick on a pig... that's a new one on me.

The lens looks interesting. I wouldn't discount it simply because it was manufactured in Eastern Europe. Those folks have been competing with the West forever.. I'd guess it to be on par with anything else on the market.

I had that lens for a test some years ago. The optics are quite o.k. (though I used it on a film body at that time). The mechanics is solid, though somewhat coarse. What really annoyed me, was the thick white plastic shim just between the lens body and the mount. I am not sure, whether that is only a shim to adapt the different flange distances of the mounts or whether is is a functional part. I guess, it is more cosmetics. Pricewise I would look a bit further, maybe you find it cheaper elsewhere or secondhand. But then, there is no other tilt-shift lens nearly as affordable and it certainly worse even that aking parice.
