I like to hear from People who have or are using a Nikon, Sigma F1.4 fast lens.
Can i use the older version Nikon 50mm xf1.4 manual focus that is cheaper on a DSL Camera? The newer version i know i can. Not too sure of the rating on this Lense. It seems to be a little soft? Your thoughts on that one please. The next one i need more users input on is the 30mm x f1.4 Sigma Lense. How does this one rate for you? It seems a little more expensive, though.... There is the Nikon 35mm x f1.8. Nice re the 35 mm side of things but not too keen on the higher f1.8. How do you find this Lens? Thanks for your input. Ray __________________

The second major limitation is manual focusing. But the D90 has a green dot rangefinder spot that you can use to help you judge when the lens is properly focused on your subject. |

Thanks for your reply. Yes" I do know what you are talking about.
I have decided to go for the Nikkor A F 50mm x f1.4 D version. Mainly because i willl be doing faster pace photography and don't need the extra mugging about. Keep it simple is the best" That way one can focus on what shots to take and compose. I could get by with the newer F1.8 G type but it is nice to have the F1.4 when need to. I know these are made in China. Is that something to be concerned off? Cheers" Ray |
