Default Newbie Help Needed

Hey all. It's nice to be here.
I was just given a Konica Autoreflex T3 with a 55mm Konica lens and Vivitar auto thyristor 2800 flash as a gift. It belonged to a friends father. Everything seems to work OK, except the flash. When I press the red test button it works - but not when I snap a picture. I'm totally new to "real " photography and cameras so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Howard

Dirk,
Thanks for the help. It started working on its own. I think maybe I hadn't locked the flash all the way. %^$%&%*^)*-Newbie
