Default Choosing a Lens Hood

Hi, I am choosing a lens hood and wondering if anyone has suggestions.

It is for a 18-55mm zoom lens on a Canon Digital Rebel XT, filter size 58 mm.

I am mainly photographing landscapes, beaches, farmland, river, barn, and flowers. I am having trouble with flares lately.

I posted a separate thread on this but that was on the subject of image editing and this is more specifically on the subject of lens hoods. However you can see a couple examples of the flares at that thread: Editing Out Lens Flare

Also have a low budget right now ... a few lens hoods I was looking at are:

Amazon.com: Mennon DC-s 58 Screw Mount 58mm Flower Lens Hood, Black: Camera & Photo Amazon.com: Mennon DC-s 58 Screw Mount 58mm Flower Lens Hood, Black: Camera & Photo

Amazon.com: Opteka 58mm Screw Mount Flower / Petal Shaped Lens Hood with Lock: Camera & Photo Amazon.com: Opteka 58mm Screw Mount Flower / Petal Shaped Lens Hood with Lock: Camera & Photo

Amazon.com: Opteka 58mm Screw-in Collapsible Rubber Lens Hood / Shade: Camera & Photo Amazon.com: Opteka 58mm Screw-in Collapsible Rubber Lens Hood / Shade: Camera & Photo

Amazon.com: Promaster 58mm Digital Lens Hood: Camera & Photo Amazon.com: Promaster 58mm Digital Lens Hood: Camera & Photo

Open to any suggestions or input - thanks!

I didn't check all your links but the canon EW-60C hood is designed for that lens.
If you get one designed for another lens it could be show up on your image when you go full wide (17mm) on your zoom.
The EW-60C is about $20.00 at amazon.
