Minolta 7000i lens

I have a Minolta 7000i with the 28 - 70 mm lens. Can anyone please tell me whether any or all Minolta lenses (or other brands made for Minolta) will fit this camera? And, can anyone please tell me where I can find a telephoto (200 mm or better) lens for this camera at a really good price?

afaik, all Minolta AF fit lenses (made by Minolta or other mfrs) will work with any Minolta/KM autofocus camera. I have only just moved up to a Dynax (Maxxum) 7D from my venerable 8000i and have no problem with lens compatibility either way. My sole source for lenses recently has been eBay. A lot of people on there are willing to pay stupid prices, but if you're patient and don't bite too soon a bargain will come along eventually. Good luck!

Most large camera shops have used lenses for sale at reasonable prices. I'd suggest B&H Photo/Video in New York. Check their site!

I'll second the advice to check out B&H photo on-line. I've also had good luck with e-bay. I bought a 7000i with two lenses and kept the lens I wanted and sold the remaining equipment to end up with a great lens for about $118 (this was the 70-210 f/4). When you're looking for lenses, just make sure you get the auto-focus type and you should be good to go! When you buy an "other" brand, it should be for a Minolta AF mount as well.
