Default focus screen shim

hi all
does anybody know of hand which way round the focus screen shim fits in the sigma sd10 it fell out whilst i was cleaning an annoying hair of the underside of the focus screen. the shim has been replaced ,the actual shim is open on one end the open end has been fitted towards the front of camera, the closed end towards the mirror
