Unfortunately I ordered the new lens before I saw the F4 one.

Hi DC2,
Yes am a fan, My Sister was Susan in the two original Dr Who films from the sixties. While all the other kids were playing with toy Daleks, I was playing with real ones, while I was on set watching the shoot. Was only little at the time but can still remember being really scared of them. The operators of them used to play tricks on me inbetween shots and say stuff like "Clive be quiet or you will be EXTERMINATED.... it was great and can remember how nice Peter Cushing was. Are you a fan as well?. I have some shots on my web site "www.ctpotos.co.uk" I did want to put some of my Sister's original stills she got from the film on there as well but she has refused to let me near them incase I damage them. I was terrible to her as a kid and broke or damaged most of her stuff including some limited edition Daleks that only the cast and crew were given. :-[ She has never fogiven me...LOL .

Will be trying to get some shots soon with the new Sigma 70-300 APO, when work allows, and post review.
Cheers
Clive

Do the Promaster lenses differ from Tamron's own offerings? Tamron offers that range under its own name in two versions: f/2.8 or f/4-5.6.

The Promaster 12-24 (Digital XR EDO Aspherical) looks just like the Tokina 12-24 (AT-X 124 AF PRO DX) for a good reason

But they don't have many KM mounts (and the 12-24 isn't either)
