Dave,
Thanks for starting this thread! Maybe it will draw more KM owners out of the woodwork! I would also post your pics in the Galleries and Discussionions area, as they may receive more traffic and feedback there. But, it's nice to see some more posts happening in the KM board too! ![]() Keep it up! Elaine |

Coaldust,
Your pics are stunning! I hope I can get pictures half that good after having my 5D for six weeks! (Oh wait, these were probably taken after you had your camera for 1 week, huh?!) Thanks for sharing, but don't forget to post these (and more please!) in the Galleries and Discussions area! Elaine |

Woohoo!! Another 7D owner joins us!
Really outstanding picture! I really enjoyed your bird gallery, especially the morning dove and the blue jay. Thanks for joining in the fun!Elaine PS - Check out Speed Challenge #17 (under Assignments/Challenges/Contests). Your nuthatch would go nicely on that feeder, if you're inclined to do some photoshopping! ![]() |

Took Elaines advice and posted a few photos to my gallery. The hockey ones really fall under experimental, I've coached for the past 4 years and this is the first chance I get to take photos of my son. These were from the teams first game, I don't think I did too bad, still lots of work to do. Dave |

Here is a picture from my 5D. This is my first try at a photo posting.
I not well versed in the resizing to correct file size proceedure yet. Rick Perhaps someone could direct me to a FAQ on proper sizing for best looking photos at minimum file size specs? |

![]() As far as posting photos goes... I generally try to keep the long end of my pics at 600 pixels, just to ensure that no scrolling will be needed to view the pic. (This wouldn't necessarily apply for panoramics though.) And the file size should be no more than 128 kb, as you see when you use the "Additional Options" feature to post your pics. I use the "Save for Web" feature in Photoshop Elements 3.0 to resize my pictures this way, just for posting on forums. Keep in mind that you can post up to four photos in one post, when you use the "Additional Options" feature, and that the total of all four photos must not exceed 128 kb. You may find more useful information about the features on this site under "PhotoCamel Miscellany: Administrative Announcements." Not sure that's exactly what you were looking for, but I hope it's useful! Keep on posting! Nice to see another KM 5D owner on board! ![]() Elaine |

This is really good. Lovely perspective and depth of field on this, and the colours really pop. One tip - you can embed your image into the post, so the image is shown within the photocamel site rather than in a new browser window. Just click on the icon for 'insert image' and put the link to the image within it. Like this:
