Default How's the *ist DL viewfinder compared to the *ist DS?

I was considering getting a *ist DS, mainly because the viewfinder blows away the other DSLRs I've seen in the same class, and the massive quantity of older, superb K-mount Manual Focus glass that is available for a pittance in the used market. But then I saw that they have just intro'd a new body, the *ist DL. It actually appears to be nearly identical in basic specs and sensor to the *ist DS, but it seems that they have down-spec'd the viewfinder. In real life, just how inferior IS the finder on the DL to the D and DS?

the viewfinder or the DL has the same field of view (95% of the sensor size), about the same brightness but has a smaller magnification (80% instead of 95%) than the DS. If you want to manual focus, then better go to the DS.

Hope that helps ?

Same field of view, but darker and smaller sized (Due to being a pentamirror and having a lower magnification). It's comparable to the Nikon D50's viewfinder, but still better than the low-end Canon's.
