Post A Kodak Printomatic? Not a joke

It sounds like a joke name, or a funny something, but it really is an item, from Kodak, that takes a 10mp image and spits out a 2" x 3" print, from the "camera", and the prints are water and tear resistant, and have adhesive on the back if you want that.

Interesting and neat....

Kodak Printomatic...

Would be a "joke name" if it did not include
the word "Kodak". Instamatic, Kodamatic,
Motormatic ... all are Kodak product names.

For a couple of months, maybe, or however long it takes them to discover how much a replacement pack of paper costs.

You remember those? Build quality was kinda marginal, but they were cheap enough and at least they used (at the time) readily available film.

Really? They would already have smart phones. Why would such a tween want a throwback like the Printomatic? Polaroid was doing something like this about fifteen years ago!

To me, this statement puts the target market as a location that requires security badges or photos on visitor passes.

Take your photo, print it, stick it to a pre-printed badge, sign guest book with number off badge.

I cannot see the general consumer public as a target market for this product.

Yep, I had one! It was lots of fun when I was a teen. I even remember the marketing song
