I'm thinking of putting the Tamron 24-70 up for sale, and moving on to either a Canon lens or the new Tamron SP 24-70mm f2.8 VC USM G2 version of the lens, and getting the dock system too. I may also like to see the Tamron SP 70-200mm f2.8 VC lens and dock system. All this will happen after my move to New Hampshire, in a few days.

Hello
I have one for Nikon. Very nice lens. Heavy, but fairly easy to use. Sharp. I believe the G2 version is even better. A camera shop salesperson I know, reckons the Tamron 70-200 G2 ( I realise different lens type) is excellent. I would be tempted to buy the G2 versions of both the 24-70 and 70-200, but for the cost.
Cheers

I have both the 13-30 and 24-70 G2 models for Nikon and couldn't be happier. It is getting harder for me to hold the heavier glass steady so the VC is very helpful.Image quality is in my eye is as good as the Nikon 2.8's.
The reason I ended up with these lenses as my Nikon 24 70 got stiff on both ends of the Zoom ranges and Nikon wanted 600.00 + too repair so i elected to try the Tameron. In my opinion the Tamron was so good that I bought the 15 30

Don't forget to register those lenses for the Tamron 6 year warranty.
