Chargers have a good deep passing attack, and the Nameless/Giants have a suspect secondary. Are you sure they'll beat the Chargers? Eli's foot looks like it's affecting his throws quite a bit too. The Chargers defense has issues with stopping anything, but when your Volkswagen is breaking down....

aam1234,
I watched Crabtree's first start for the 49'rs. We usually don't get Niner games in Texas, but Crabtree's first game was a big deal around here. I hated to see the holdout, I think he didn't handle it well, but he's going to be big time for the Niner's. I found an interesting shot I took from the Texas/Texas Tech game last year. This is the game Crabtree scored the go ahead touchdown with just seconds remaining against #1 Texas. I'd rented a Cessna to fly me over the stadium during both the 1st and 4th quarters. This shot is when the crowd rushed the field after the win. It was pandemonium here in Lubbock that night. |

Wow, what a great photo!! Thank you for sharing it with us, Mark.
As for Crabtree, he has been impressive in the two games he started in, especially considering that he missed training camp. I'd say the 9ers are lucky to have him in the team. Quote:

Thanks for the "K" to pass along as a hug to Tyler aam1234. His commitment to the Titans is unyielding which made the difference.

Sunday, November 8th
Washington @ Atlanta - Atlanta did a good job keeping it close against Nawlins until the end, and Zorn's Redskins are just spinning out of control. Baltimore @ Cincinnati - Baltimore's really good at revenge games. Kansas City @ Jacksonville - It's pretty obvious why Jacksonville can't fill 20,000 of their 67,000-something seats at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. They stink, and have no star power in an area with three NFL franchises. Fortunately, the Chiefs are worse. Green Bay @ Tampa Bay - Tampa Bay's got about half the season left to win one, but it won't be here. Miami @ New England - No more Wildcat embarassment for Belichick. Houston @ Indianapolis - Addai threw the Colts' only touchdown to beat San Francisco. Colts can produce enough offensively even when Manning is limited. Arizona @ Chicago - Cardinals have no rhythm, but neither does Chicago. Carolina @ New Orleans - Panthers beat the Cardinals, but the Saints bear little resemblance to the Cardinals. Detroit @ Seattle - Try as he might, Julian Peterson won't be able to do enough to take down the team that shipped him to Detroit. San Diego @ New York Giants - Chargers pounce on a vulnerable Giants team coming off some humbling losses, but New York piles up a lot of yards on the ground due to San Diego's weakened run defense. Tennessee @ San Francisco - The first stop on the Alex Smith redemption tour. Dallas @ Philadelphia - Dallas will play out of their minds to avenge last year's blowout, but Philly hasn't exactly been getting worse since then. Monday, November 9th Pittsburgh @ Denver - Tough to pick against Denver, even after the Ravens beat them the same way I think the Steelers will approach them. I've been burned too many times jumping on/off bandwagons after one game, but if Denver loses in similar fashion to the Steelers... |

Sunday, November 8th
Washington @ Atlanta - Two words: Jason Campbell. He's no JaMarcus Russell, but he'll do. Baltimore @ Cincinnati - Ravens looked good last week, and the Bengals are too inconsistent. Kansas City @ Jacksonville - KC just doesn't have the receivers they need to make Matt Cassel good. Green Bay @ Tampa Bay - Green Bay will want some redemption after their 2nd loss to the Vikings this season. Miami @ New England - I'll be rooting for Miami, but I don't think that'll be enough against NE's pass offense. Houston @ Indianapolis - The Colts didn't look too hot the last 2 games, but they will step it up. Arizona @ Chicago - Arizona just got beat by the Carolina... Carolina @ New Orleans - NO won't go 16-0, but they won't be losing this week. Detroit @ Seattle - Come on Lions, you guys can win this one! San Diego @ New York Giants - That secondary better have been watching tape all week and learning from their mistakes. And I think LT will either get injured again, or throw a hissy fit when Sproles gets the ball more than he does. Tennessee @ San Francisco - Vince Young strikes again. Dallas @ Philadelphia - The Eagles are building some nice momentum now. Monday, November 9th Pittsburgh @ Denver - With Troy Polamalu back, Denver's offense will be shut down. |
