NFL 2008/2009 season

Some training camps already started, so let's share some info here.

As with past threads about the NFL, it will be nice to have the season consolidated in this thread too.

Waw, come to think of it, this is the 3rd NFL season at the Camel. Time flies.

But somethings never change:

- The 'Boys suk
- JD Skins will win the Superbowl this season too
- My 9ers...sigh

Ha ha, I'm trying hard to find that "piece" about the 'Boys. I'm sure you've seen it already, Micheal, but will post it nonetheless. If I can find it

The Skins.....Lord help us. Although I am not a huge fan. You still cannot count ot the Patriots. Moss and Brady. Come one. The Giants were a fluke. Eli is and always will be overrated and under the shadow of his brother. But what the heck were the Giants thinking anyway trading Shockley! If we are going off last season I say look for the Patriots. Even though I am not a fan. But I love football and can respect that. If Romo could stop worrying about being a celebrity and play football maybe he wouldn't be such a choke artist. If Favre gets on a good team he is going to have something to prove. So we'll see what happens there. But I think New Orleans might have a decent run at it.

Not sure about that. Their defense, especially their DL was more than amazing. And these guys, imo, are really who won the game for the Giants.

Lots of people, including members here, were pissed that the defense didn't get the MVP.

Pre-season prediction from me, and sue me if you disagree: The Giants won't make it to the playoffs this season.

Coughlin wants a tight end that can also block. Shockey can block but dislikes it.

Coughlin likes team players. Shockey complains on the field if he doesn't get the ball.

Sure, Kevin Boss is an unproven second-year player, but at least he keeps his mouth shut right now. Bad team chemistry = Shockey gone.

Giants have consistently made play-offs since 2005. I'd be surprised if they didn't at least make it to the Wild Card round.
