Finally, Brett Favre retires after 18 seasons.
Do you think it will be for good this time. Just go away, man. __________________

I like him. But you said it. Enough is enough already. I understand the love of the game. But he isn't effective anymore.

How long has he been talking about retiring? I know this is the 2nd time he's "retired," but it seems he's been talking about retiring for seasons.

I hope it's the last time too. I think it will be, he just isn't what he used to be and it's better for him to be remembered as a great QB instead of one that should have quit sooner.

Any major news/updates about your team? Let's hear it.
For the 49ers it's hiring an OC. What a mess. We've been rejected by two (I think) coaches so we ended up with, what appears to be, a second-rate OC. Not a good start to Singletary's team. |

Since Favre retired through his agent and spared us his yearly teary goodbye press conference, I think it's real. I HOPE it's real. Love the player, not sure about the man.

I'm sure going to miss seeing Coach Tony Dungy on the sidelines next season with the Colts but I'm excited to see what this new coach will do. From what I've read, I think Caldwell will do a fine job....especially after coaching under the great Dungy for the last seven years. If Mike Tomlin of the Steelers in any indication of what coaches turn out to be that have worked with Tony Dungy, I think the Colts have a lot to look forward to this upcoming season.
I enjoyed this excerpt I read today by Brian Mitchell at the bleacherreport... "Expectations... I'm not sure about everyone else but I'm quite excited for the 2009 season. I feel that the Colts have major potential and things are looking as if we will be a force to be reckoned with yet again next season. No one likes to lose but if we had to, I'm glad it was in a way like we lost to the Chargers in the wild card game. We could have just as well won the game had we won the coin flip but sometimes things just aren't meant to be. Does that mean we should not value the amazing 2008 season we had? Not at all. We defeated every playoff team we faced at one point or another and that includes an amazing victory against the Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field. We have all the potential to beat any team on any given Sunday and things will be no different in 2009. Gear up Colts fans and be ready for another exciting year of Indianapolis Colts football!" Ready for the season to start back up....NOW! It should NEVER end. ![]() |

Hi Kris,
In case you missed it, here is 2009/2010 thread. Thanks for posting schedule. Care to post NFL.com one in the new season thread. Btw, from where did you get MNF ring tone, would love to have it too. __________________
