Yes, those are mine. I shot them with my AE-1. I have a few others that I scanned, on my Smugmug page. I was working for a courier company in the Bay Area at the time. Well, there weren't a heck of a lot of deliveries going on that day, so I made the best of it.

That was the Cypress, so you were around Oakland. Brave man.

That's what was left of the Cypress. The photo of the Chevron trailer truck, I actually was able to shoot from both sides. I had to travel a looooong way around to get it from the other side.

You can see where some of the upper deck looks like it's in a shadow. However, nothing else is.
The smashed car under it burned, and that's the smoke damage on the concrete.

Did you get out and helped with the rescue efforts?

The police were not letting anyone help. Just the "pros". Firefighters, and other rescue crews.
At least in Oakland, they didn't have the fire to contend with that they had in SF.

Gotta go back to work. Our lead "engineer" wants us to do the first of our Demo PM's.
He want's us to leave a bunch of parts out (supposed to) and put some of the others back in.
He's got the parts mixed up.
He can't even get that right. Sheesh.
We are supposed to be able to pump the chamber back down to a high vacuum. He want's us to leave a Quartz Plate with a bunch of holes in it (imagine a showerhead), on the chamber, and remove the one without the holes.
