He started 47 out of a possible 48 games while he was in SF, played in all 48, and led the D-linemen in tackles for loss.

Doesn't seem that bad of a signing...

There have been more than a few flops in the Nolan era... =)

Maybe Melvin Oliver? A rookie in 2006, he made 43 tackles in 16 games, and then managed to land on injured reserve before the 2007 season even started.

Montana's two sons play QB in high school, but they're still more than a year removed from heading to college. Apparently the recently-fired UCLA coaches worked with them in some sort of summer football camp and were impressed with the younger one.
