Another favorite Dire Straits song: Skate Away
I've spent many an hour with wheels on my feet so I can't help but love this song.

At best I have a very narrow music-likes.....
in fact I even annoy myself.....Within any genre I listen to, my likes are just a fraction of what's available. That's why I have my own collection of over 3,000 titles on my laptop which is always hooked to my stereo - I use Media Center 12 Jukebox. Then I have XM-Radio, Sirius-Radio, Comcast-Radio, and Yahoo-Rhapsody.....and I'm always grousing that there isn't anything playing that I like! |

I'm not Bunny but if I may, I do not believe that Peter Sinfield/Greg Lake needed to be imitators of anyones work. Especially both being strong influences in early King Crimson work. Perhaps if you stated just which Pink Floyd song you feel they imitated I could listen and see where you get your thoughts from concerning this.

Sorry, not Bunny's sister althought I'm sure that would be a very nice position.
I don't know Off The Wall except as a tribute band. As for Hey you, I believe that was release 2 years after C'est la vie. So, perhaps the imatation was was the other way around. I would rather think of it as inspiration then immitation. But, you made me think and since they are good thoughts of days gone by, I thank you. |

Originally I wrote "Hey You" first then "Off the Wall". Too bad I switched them.
Edit: Maybe I got the songs wrong. In any case, nice to see you around this thread. Don't be a stranger ![]() |
