One gig isn't bad if you're just working on a few pics or docs at a time. And I suspect that this Beta will eventually start offering paid versions with more options.

It is an interesting concept, though, at least for the "common man". I regularly set this up for clients with web-based Citrix applications when I was consulting. I have it on my own corporate network now, too, but for everyday, personal use, I hadn't really looked at the viability of a business wrapped around it.

I can see it happening, though. I'll bet the free version will end up with ads somewhere and paid versions will offer more features, space and applications.

My biggest concern would be privacy issues with personal information. With a corporate system, I have complete control over that aspect of it and my users are aware of how far we go to protect data. With personal space and a no reference company with no history of secure transactions, I'm not so sure...

I don't think that's the point of this tool. Could be useful to someone that travels without a laptop.

Jfrancho has got it right.
I was on a work visit in Sweden and had my important but not confidential files on second desktop. Worked great.

I have 2 desktop computers 3 meters apart linked via RJ-45 cable so I at least can access the net when my wife monopolizes the PC. She has too many "cronies" on the net that prevented me from even getting my Emails, now I have XP Pro, CS-2 on both machines so I have a fighting chance.
