Best Site for links, etc. or Is AOL still the best?

I am growing tired of searching the whole net for things like best stopwatches, best stand mixers, opinions on latest music, discussions of technology, etc.

I haven't checked it out for years and years, but AOL used to have a huge amount of options for discussions, info, topics, etc.

What site, or SP has the best-organized setup for finding the most things the easiest, in your opinions?

Since OS Tiger, Apple's browser, which I use, links us to Apple, not to a starting site for info, etc. And now, I would like to choose a great one as my home page...and I am willing to pay for it, if it gives me convenience, etc.

I really don't think there's a one-stop solution on the Internet, unless you settle for one, knowing it won't be the best for everything.

That's what I sort of thought.

AOL used be something like that. but I assume it isn't anymore.
