I often edit my posts here, sometimes up to 5 times. Gotta get that spelling/grammar/punctuation right. If I fail to get the spelling right I write "spelling" after that troubling word.

Yes. That's what I like about this forum: the Modify button.

It alows me to get the speling just write before I save a reponse.

What I like about this forum is that they don't keep track of your/my edits. Always hated that (a massage at the bottom saying "last edited by abc at xyz time).

I agree. I don't need people to know that I've edited a post. I want folks to think everything I do is perfec right out of the box.

You need to start to worry when it gets obsessive compulsive. I always look at what I wrote and correct the spelling here, add a clarification there. But then you must let go. Life goes on. Focus on something new. It's such a sad waste of time to get stuck in the past.

It does, but it's not always about spelling. Punctuation is usually the biggest culprit.
