I found PhotoCamel forums to be a lot more friendly and hospitable, but I have to admit that I like and trust the news I read at dpreview.

It's boring here to them because petty criticism and fights don't break out here everytime someone doesn't agree with the dpr photogods. I think it's funny that you can't mention photocamel on dpr without getting banned... what are they afraid of?

Phil is paranoid about any of the other reviewers on the net, for some unknown reason he has the perverted idea that the entire internet photo domain is his private, god given right and no one else dare encroach on his territory.

If you frequent DPR, you will find that a large majority of the posters are "techies" and NOT photographers who are consumed with the technical aspects of equipment and not photography. It's almost like an engineering symposium and is overun with brand loyalty techies. I think most are youngsters who don't even own any equipment but read alot on the net.

You hit it on the head Stephen with the techie comment. Not only they are techies but paranoid ones at that. If one reads DPR he/she will think camera manufacturers produce horrible quality equipment.
