It would seem that you think this kind of thing is ok and you support it. I certainly am not going to vote for Mr Romney but to not let him speak (or someone else to speak for him) is just as bad as bringing a gun to a policial event or beating someone who disagrees with you, both which happened during the healthcare debate. If you cannot let the other side speak then your position must not be very strong. I find it rather telling that a group of people who support Ron Paul (who support a strict following of the Constitution) would not allow someone else their First Amendment rights to free speach. Maybe they think people only have the right to free speach as long as it agrees with their position. Another excellent example of people in this country not having respect for others and their views.

And it is exactly how Hitler got into power. He silenced his opposition.

You guys get it wrong. They booed his son, not Romney himself.

Didn't the main stream media try to silence Ron Paul few months ago?

I didn't hear you guys complained then. Why?

They booed his messenger. That is exactly the same as booing him.

No one has tried to silence Paul.

He is not worth reporting as much more than a spoiler, and spoilers get very little press.

There is a huge difference between trying to silence someone one, and not reporting what they say.

I don't think RP was silenced. He was certainly ignored. But that is normal for the candidates that are unlikely to win. Most Americans don't even know who Gary Johnson is. They do the same to everyone from Ralph Nader to David Duke.

If these people were silenced, you wouldn't be able to get info on them. It's not like anyone who has the least interest in politics doesn't know who Ron Paul is or what he basically stands for - they're just not interested, so the press spends less time with him.

IMHO, FOX news and MSNBC are great channels if you like wrestling. CNN is great if you want to keep up with the silly stuff on both sides. But all 3 choose their coverage on what kind of ratings they will get. If you want real, unbiased news, watch The News Hour on PBS. They gave Ron Paul plenty of attention at the beginning of the primary but not so much now that he is not really a serious contender any more. But still, when he picks up delegates like he has been recently, they cover it.

I no longer get Fox on Direct TV satellite so am stuck with only CNN (Communist News Network) that refuse to watch so when I do want a "News" channel, I watch the BBC International broadcast. They actually provide a better news service regarding the USA than the USA channels.
