I dont see how he should be allowed to be president:
-No military experience As much as George Bush. How much fighting did he see?
-Minimal time in congress: less chance to be corrupted and to be a lifetime politician
-A drug abuser(used to be) we all have our demons
-Not full american: How so? He was born in Hawaii. Last I knew, they were part of the US. McCain was born in Panama. And it wasnt until after he was born that the laws changed stating people born on a base there were considered American born citizens. So for 2 years of his life, he was considered a naturalized citizen. So as much a citizen as Arnold Schwartzenager is.
-Muslim: Says the rumor mill. guess anyone with the middle name huessein has to be a muslim?
-Friends with the foe: Saddam Huessein, Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban were all financally supported, supplied, trained and armed by Republican Presidents. You can thank Ronald Regan and George HW Bush for them being in power. Our soldiers are basically being shot at by weapons that say "Made in the USA" on them.

I respect everyone to have a different opinion, but almost all your statements above seem to be nothing more then the content of chain letters that most people just go to snopes to see how far people will go to obscure facts with fantasy.

And the more I read here, the more I realize the reason I really like V for Vendetta. Seems the republicans would love for us to move to such a police state as portrayed in the movie. Outlawing homosexual marriages. Outlawing any other religious beliefs. Wiretaps and video cameras "for our protection". And on other boards I see people acting worse with these beliefs then I do here. Its sickning how life is trying to imitate art.

I don't care about that, either way.

My issue is that the "yes" voters effectively told the government that it is now allowed to have a say in our personal relationships. In other words, WE as a people gave up our ability to determine certain personal morals that meet our own standards and those we teach our families. It now lies with the government.
