Default D2X sensor cleaning

Does anyone out there know how to clean the D2X sensor without using the optional AC adaptor. I would like to do this in the field occasionally and I was able to do it with the D70. Thanks in advance,
Dave

With the D1x you're supposed to use the AC adapter as well, but I never do. I use a freshly charged battery and set the camera on 'Bulb'. I use a tripod to position the camera exactly how I want it. The shutter stays open for maybe five seconds at a time, three or four times per cleaning. I've cleaned it dozens of times like that without incident.

Chip's method works. Set the camera on bulb when you've got plenty of power. I've yet to do a wet clean with this method, but I know it works for dry ones.

Usually, for a quick field clean, I just dial in 30 seconds as the shutter speed, grab my rocket blower, and give it a few puffs before turning the camera off to bring the mirror back down and close the shutter when I'm done.

I'm using a D2H, btw.
